Leicester 1 v 1 QPR
QPR gain their second point of the season away to leicester with a late goal on 83 minutes from Leigertwood, the midfielder smashed home a long-range effort in reply to Leicester’s 63 minute penalty.
Leicester manager Gary Megson:
“I thought in terms of effort, commitment, desire and drive we were terrific for 75 minutes.
“We scored a goal, but after that we were naive and made some poor decisions at critical times.
“It was a very poor performance in the last 15 minutes when we were skating on thin ice, not because of what QPR were doing - because of what we weren’t.”
QPR boss John Gregory:
“In the first half we defended very well, but we didn’t start the second half as well and were caught on the back foot.
“We weren’t as solid and saw jaws drop when they scored, which didn’t happen last season.
“And we should have gone on to win it in the last 10 minutes - Leicester were quite happy to hear the final whistle.”
